Morabadi Hill is more famously known as Tagore hill and is named after the Tagore family of Bengal. This hillock in Ranchi is situated at an altitude of 300 feet above sea level.
The place is renowned for its scenic beauty. The elder brother of Gurudev, Rabindranath Tagore, Joytindranath Tagore built a house (Shantidham) on this hill. It is said that Rabindranath wrote a number of books including the famous Gitanjali on this hill.
The place is also famous for the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram at the foothills. This ashram has been a cenre of Divyayan and Agrarian Vocational Institute. A yatra which is similar to the one at the Puri temple is conducted every year.
