Description

Panchachuli ranges are part of the Kumaon Himalayas. They form the western boundary of the Darma Valley, through which flows the Dhauli river.

Religion and Mythology

According to legends, Panchachuli peaks get their names from Pancha (five) and Chuli (cooking pots), because they are said to have been used as cooking pots for the last meal of the Pandava brothers, before their journey to the heavens.
