Tarna Hill, located at an elevation of 300 feet above sea level in the Mandi District, Himachal Pradesh is known for its various temples built in the Nagari style of architecture. Most of the temples here were built between the 15th and the 17th century. The Triloknath  temple  and the Shyama Kali Temple constructed in the 15th century, and the 17th century, respectively, are particularly popular. The Rani Amrit Kaur Park, inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1957, is another popular attraction.

The famous temple of Tarna Devi, also known as Shayama Kali temple and  is dedicated to Shayama Kali who is the incarnation of Shyama Durga. There are paintings of Goddesses on the walls of the temple and the inside is decorated with beautiful designs of gold. The temple was constructed by Raja Shyam Sen who was a great devotee of Ma Kali. The idol in the temple is three faced. There is also another idol of  Mahishasuramardini. People flock here in large number to get the blessings of Shyama Kali. It is commonly believed that the prayers made here are answered.
